rounds and cycles
A series of efforts, repeated in cycles, with a long recovery between cycles.
a single series
One effort, one rest, as many times as needed. Up to 99 rounds without the screen turning to mush.
counts up
It counts up instead of down and marks a lap with one tap. For sessions you do not know in advance.
The move
How much is left. The session fits in one strip under the counter: height says the length, colour says the phase.
Tabata, 4 rounds in 3 cycles, resting after round 1 of cycle 2
84 rounds: every interval keeps its exact share of the time, the part already done goes dark
Past 36 intervals the strip turns continuous rather than unreadable. And what you set is exactly what you will see: the editor shows the same strip, redrawn with every change.
Mid effort
Counter up to 140 px, phase name shouted in condensed italics, nothing under 11 px.
Phone on its side: counter on the left, strip on the right, no navigation left.
The screen stays awake during the session, and if the phone sleeps anyway the timer catches up on the elapsed time when it wakes.
Four tones synthesised on the spot, one sound per phase change. No coach voice.
What is not there
Akrofit asks for nothing to start: no account, no data sent, no request during the session, since fonts and sounds are built in. The timer is complete and free. Advanced features will come later as a subscription, without taking away anything that is here.
